Free Video Downloader is a freeware that allows you to download HD quality YouTube videos, optionally you can also convert them to various other video formats.
It is a portable application, download the Zip file and unzip it and open the application. Input the Youtube video URL and select the quality of the video. If you want to convert the video to other formats select them from the drop-down menu. The program allows you to select a conversion format from High quality to low quality, a high quality conversion may take some time so be aware of that.
You can also use this app for converting videos on your hard drive from one format to other.
